An Interest Meeting will be held at the FBA Office on a Monday night in December. This is the time to meet professors, ask questions, and register for classes.<br><br>You can contact the FBA Office and request to be notified when the interest meeting is set. You can go ahead and apply to the program.
CHR 320: Synoptic Gospels
Taught on Monday nights by Dr. Bryan Myers. This class provides an in-depth look at Mark with comparisons to the other synoptic gospels, Matthew and Luke.
CHR 102: Intro to New Testament
Taught on Thursday nights by Dr. Buck Kinney. This class provides an overview of the entire New Testament.
CHR 200: Hermeneutics
Taught by Dr. Buck Kinney. This class teaches students how to understand the Bible by studying what it would have meant to its original readers.

We partner with Georgia Baptist Bible Institute and Brewton-Parker Christian University to offer select Christian Studies and ministry courses to Adult/Non-Traditional aged students. Students may complete up to 27 semester credit hours of coursework at an inexpensively rate, after which they may apply that credit toward a two-year Associates of Arts in General Studies, and/or a four-year degree, primarily in the College’s program, Christian Studies.
A non-traditional student is defined as an individual who earned a high school diploma or its equivalent more than five years ago.
Our Goal
Our Association prays that God uses us to not only train up pastors and lay leaders to meet the needs of our churches but also those of the churches around us. We see a need to train pastors locally but these classes are not just for current and future pastors. They are also equipping Deacons, Sunday School teachers, men’s and women’s ministry leaders, and other volunteers by growing them in Christ to strengthen and equip others in the church.
We are able to offer low-cost, high-quality Bible classes in the Southwest region because of our partnership with Brewton-Parker Christian University and the Georgia Baptist Bible Institute.

Many of our current students are taking classes for credit while pursuing a Certificate. Others take classes once a year based on their interests or availability. Certificate in Pastoral Leadership
This seven-class certificate program is designed to equip students for ministry leadership. A sample completion plan might include:

Audit
Audit students receive the full experience of the class with flexibility to participate in or skip assignments and/or tests. Audit students will not receive college credit. There is no limit to the number of classes that a student may audit.

To prevent any delays, you should apply to the program as soon as you are interested in taking classes.
Classes meet once a week for the duration of the semester. Friendship Baptist Association holds two different classes each semester: one on Mondays and one on Thursday.
Students may register online through their My BPC account and pay for classes directly to Brewton-Parker Christian University.
However, we encourage our students to either attend the GBBI interest meeting held before each semester or to stop by the FBA Office to fill out a paper registration form. These students receive a payment credit from the Friendship Baptist Association. Students are asked to reimburse this credit before the end of the semester.
