Advancing in Ministry (AIM)
Discipleship, Training, Mentorship
AIM is an innovative program for individuals who feel a greater calling to serve God. Its four-level system allows mentors to meet individuals where they are – whether they are teenagers, college students, or older adults – to help them explore their call into ministry. As part of AIM, we also offer accredited Bible and leadership classes through our partnership with Brewton-Parker Christian University and the Georgia Baptist Bible Institute (GBBI).
AIM is a comprehensive, multi-levelled program to help you advance in the ministry that God has called you to do. Our AIM coordinators are available to help you if you have a desire to serve God in a greater way but aren’t sure about your calling. Please also contact an AIM coordinator if you are looking for more information, a church who wants to set up a ministry internship, or want to talk about what it means to be called into ministry.
Equipping Church Leaders Through Continuing Education
GBBI is a collaborative effort between Friendship Baptist Association churches and Brewton-Parker Christian University to provide Bible knowledge and ministry training for pastors, Sunday School teachers, and other leaders. The FBA partners with the GBBI to meet a core need of our AIM program – continuing education for those called into ministry.
Classes start the second week of January. There will be an interest meeting held 6pm on January 5th, 2026 at the Friendship Baptist Association office. We will be happy to answer your questions there and help with registration.
